See my other post but long story short, I'm really not coping at all at having my horse back after her loan. I'm at my wits end to be honest and having her PTS has crossed my mind. Someone on here suggested a retirement yard - does anyone know of any round North Derbyshire?

Thanks.

Thanks all. No I wouldn't loan her at her age, with her limitations and high maintainance in the summer. Not unless it was someone I knew and trusted like the last lady and I don't know anyone.

I'm sorry I don't know your area, but I've read your other post and I really hope you find something suitable xx

I can't think of anywhere at the minute, a big problem for the area if you actually want poor grazing is that a lot of the livery yards are ex dairy farms with extremely good grazing.

Can I suggest that you get on facebook and put requests on the walls of Thomas Irving, Eckington Riding Club, Hallamshire Riding Society and High Moor Open Show as these all serve that area and seem to have fairly active facebook followers who might be able to come up with something for you.

I know the following yard is not in Derbyshire but my friend has sent her old lad to this yard and is very happy with it.

Cheshire Retirement Livery
Craddocks Moss Farm, Heighley Lane, Betley, Nr Crewe, Cheshire CW3 9BA
Tel: 0797 7568 987

I have never been so can not comment.

Good Luck in your search.

Thank you all. From the yards I've seen I simply can't afford the fees they charge so this may be a moot post.
