Does anyone know if this hunt covers the outskirts of Wigan (Appley Bridge, Standish etc.) and/or into West Lancs and sort of Ormskirk/Bickerstaffe way?

I think they took some of the former Saddleworth Drag lines around Saddleworth (obviously) and Shaw / Oldham way so more to the east lancs, and north cheshire, but could be wrong.

No, I really do mean the North West Draghunt. I'm from West Lancs; the request is for a friend still in the region.

There is a listing for them on the Masters of Draghounds website, but I thought I'd ask here for specifics/personal stories first...

North West Draghunt

just looked at the link and I very much doubt they come this far over, it looks like they hunt round oldham/rochdale way. The holcombe are my local hunt with the nearest meets at the scotch piper in lydiate or there is one up parbold hill later on towards the end of the season

Thanks. Will pass the info on.

There once was a NW Draghounds but I dont think it is running anymore. The Masters of the Saddleworth fell out, & one of them Paul Fletcher started his own hunt. Initially it was quite succesful but I think it has now broken up. My OH was the Fieldmaster in the early days. Oh such a long time ago. :o
