does anyone know of any nice rides nr this area? On holiday here at moment. Have my horsebox. Found lots of bridlepaths but a lot have nowhere to park! Thanks

Have you had a look in Yorkshire Postfor pleasure rides. Theres Fountains Abbey and there's Castle Howard rides advertised with the pony club. Have a look on ridingdiary.co.uk for pleasure rides, they are great fun and a nice way to get horses fit while enjoying the GB countryside.

I've just come back from there and noticed people hacking near/on Castle Howard grounds.
There'd be plenty of parking up there.
