Good Morning, this is a message from the Northamptonshire North Community
Safety Unit to all Farm/Rural Watch members.
We would like to advise you of the following incidents:
LAXTON - CORBY
Between 08:30 16 September and 08:30 18 September, unknown person(s) have
cut through a padlock of a container kept in an insecure barn and turned in
the diesel tap on the container. Offenders have stolen 400 gallons of red
diesel by unknown means.
WAKERLEY - OAKHAM
Between 17:50 18 September and 20:24 18 September, unknown person(s) have
cut the padlock on a secure gate. Offenders gained access to the air field
area and set fire to 200 tonnes of wheat straw which has been completely
destroyed.
DESBOROUGH - KETTERING
Between 18:00 18 September and 08:30 19 September, unknown person(s) have
gained entry to a pony paddock and have cut of the tails of two ponies. No
injury has been caused to the animals.
Unknown person(s) , believed to be the same offenders, returned between
22:30 19 September and 08:00 20 September to obtain more tail hair from the
ponies. It is believed that this time the pony put up a struggle and got
away. Nothing was seen or heard.
