Am getting so fed up, i have a lovely 14.3 gelding for full or part loan, but want him to stay at present yard, you would think there would be somebody out there who is looking for a horse to love as their own, but up to date have only had enquiries from people wanting to move him, is it the present climate or area that makes things so awkward/

can i ask where in northants he's kept? is the yard a more expensive yard with lots of facilities- so is it people wanting to move him onto a cheaper diy basis?

i wonder if, like me, people when wanting a loan would like to be able to keep a horse as close to home as possible- from my point of view it means i can walk to my yard in all weathers ( i hate driving in the snow/ice) also keeps down the costs of travelling to and from. means i can check on the horse if needs be in 5 mins rather than a 20 min journey.

keep looking- im sure the right person will come along.Good luck!

I'm in chapel brampton too, but have 3 of my own that i dont have time for already! :)
I think as above most people want to be able to move a loan horse especially for a full loan, I would not consider a loan unless i could move them

Could you maybe consider, if they want a full loan, saying you may allow the horse to move once they have loaned him at your currentyard for a month or 2? That way you know you can trust them before they move him...
Just a thought :)
