hi all, i am new to all this but could anyone give me some advice on nose bands ie do horses like them or do they dislike them

Ted only had a noseband when jumping.. but that was because i was too lazy to keep doing up a piece of tack that he didnt need

no animal i know 'likes' bridles. however, 'liking' something is very antropomorphic, human like feeling, horses do not show such complex emotions. horses accept the bridle and noseband. they do not 'like' nor 'dislike' it. though it can be argued the noseband is not natural for the horse, therefore on these grounds your placing them under stress in unnatural situations

please let me explain, i make personalised stable signs but i am thinking of making personalised nose bands using the designs i use for the signs but i would like to know if horses like or dislike wearing the sheepskin type nose band covers

Yes it is smexy..
However, I disagree, horses feel like and dislike, its humans whome struggle to understand the complexity of the horses emotions, the same with most domesticated animals, not so prominent in the wild.

A lot of people put a sheepskin nose band cover on their bridle so you would sell some. Whether the horse likes it or not is a different matter but most horses that wear them don't seem to complain. Hope this helps?
