Just having a bit of a rant ....... i have a mare who has a problem with pollen and the flies when i ride. She gets quite distressed and shakes her head. I decided at the weekend to go and get a net which goes over the nose when i ride. The first shop i went into the only had one and it was £28.90 for one net! They had full size fly masks including nose for £15 next to it. The next shop i went to was exactly the same price. How does it work that a tiny net which covers the muzzle can cost more than a full face fly mask??????? Even online they are not cheap. Like keeping horses and providing for them doesn't cost enough.

We have the same problem with our boy.

The nose nets we bought were approx £25, but you got 3 in the packet.

They are expensive I know but definately worth it and yes you get spare nets.

There are alternative ones which I have tried but one particular one I bought that was supposed to be really good, the net is too fine, went over the whole of the mouth, which limited the fresh the air flow, so don't waste your money on one of them...look good but they aint!
