Shes rising 6yo and i cant help but think the noseband is too chunky for her small face? (well, in actual fact someone 'mentioned it to me')

Would people agree or am i just being too sensitive?

Please ignore my horrible face, i do smile honest!!

**I am not riding without a hat, i just jumped on for the picture!**

a chunky padded noseband is actually more comfortable for the horse as less pressure points. the one thing i will say is that it looks a bit high and twisted, make sure the flash joint is in the center of the face and that the noseband itself sits just above the bit rings.

I think its the way its been made- i cannot get it to sit straight at all so perhaps the leather has twisted when being made.

A nice kincade fault perhaps.

Gorgeous mare, but I don't actually think the noseband DOES flatter her, either in width or colour. She seems to have quite an elegant head, and i think a slightly narrower noseband would set it off nicely. That yellowy trim would look awesome on a dark bay or black horse, not sure it really flatters your girl.

Why, yes, i AM Miss Hypercritical today, why do you ask?

PS. i think she is one beautiful little horse !

Personally, I wouldn't drop the noseband too low, nothing upsets me more than seeing a horse made to bleed because the skin on their face has been caught between the bit and the noseband. It should sit two fingers below the cheekbones, only needs to come down a hole or so. Its hard to see if it really suits her, do you have a picture from side on?

Brown tack is more correct, anyway ! The brown suits her fine, I just didn't think the yellowy trim suited her very well. That pony bridle is lovely, thats just the sort of thing I was thinking of - pretty but subtle.

Good luck with the new saddle as well !

I think that would only happen if she were using it as flash, which she's not. Looks plenty loose to me (Guilt-tripping because PF has a very skinny noseband!!)

Tis a bit wonky, yes.

First thing I noticed was the wonkiness!! I think the width is fine, but that yellowy edging is just too much, really doesn't suit her. Sorry

it's a nice bridle, but i agree, doesn't suit her, would look better on something more chunky and dark coloured.

i like the show bridle you posted, though!

and very pretty horse!
