Noseband for in hand showing?

Do you have to have one?

I will be showing my Haflinger this season and have a beautiful brown leather show bridle with a flat noseband. It was for my old mare and the noseband doesnt fit my gelding. Is a noseband a requirement?

It's not a requirement, but showing is a lot about the whole picture & correctness.

If you intend on showing more than just once or twice, may be worth getting a noseband (Fylde would do one at a reasonable price)
