Was chatting to a colleague at work this morning and she was describing a cat that had been run over and was laying in the road, it sounded very much like my neighbours cat, so I got more info then thought id text my neighbour to see if there cat was home...... he wasn't...

Sadly it was there cat, I feel terrible for having to tell them it was Simba so I rushed home from work before I had to go and do some work and gave my neighbour's husband a lift back home with their cat in a bag.... I felt soo sick cos I loved that cat like he was my own.

Have no idea how they will tell their daughter who is 5 that her cat is not coming home for his tea tonight :( breaks my heart!

RIP SIMBA... we will miss you and my cats will miss you too. sleep well little man.

On the plus side: the loan agreement is back signed so that's all the paperwork done for Mr Toby to come over... really am hoping to hear this weekend of a set date that he will join me.
I've got time off work for when he does arrive even managed to forewarn that if he arrives in night or early hours I am to call work up and get that day off :) yay so I can spend time with him, it can't come quick enough

Oh, your poor neighbour and poor you for having to tell them , the trouble is that cats are such free spirits and love to be out and about but street wise they are not and no match for a car.
Big vibes for all concerned , i hope the little girl isn't too upset , although i expect she'll be pretty upset , it's hard to understand at that age... :(
