''not a novice ride''

I would put forward going but safe ride...not suitable for complete novice.

Reason I say that is that I was a novice after returning to riding after 15 years but could handle a bit of spooking and would go for a gallop!

think alot of it is down to sussing them out on the phone when they call.....she seemed a good girl when we hacked out! x

Too good to be messed around with by a novice rider

See I don't like expressions like that - the thing is that some people are quite good but class themselves novice and vice versa. I had a 'dressage rider' look at Ty - she pony club kicked and yanked his mouth and wondered why he got upset with her!

The same can be said of any wording you use - there will always be people who think they are better riders than they really are, and vice versa, so the wording really isn't going to make much difference.

It's irrelevant to me whether you like it or not. I was responding to the OP with a suggestion.
