Not funny. I suppose 38 seconds and a soft fall was better than the hours of work the horse would have done in sand, if the man had managed to get on and stay on. The horse was far too small for him.
I imagine the horse had done a lot of work prior to this with someone else as equally unsuitable on it's poor back.
You could well be right, lets hope not for the animals sake.
