Not as many posts?

I've been coming on here for a long time but I've noticed in the last month or so there seem to be fewer new threads posted.

Normally I could come on here of an evening and spend a good long time reading through new threads, they moved down the page at quite a rate as well. It seems like when I log on now the same threads are lingering over a few days, and many of them don't have a huge number of posts.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Yes, i have. I think it's mainly the time of year. People are out and about more. Plus, you need fresh blood coming through, as all us old timers have been round the buoy many times! Every subject has been covered - I go to search if I want to read more about a subject amd there's invariably something about it.

Think people are out more in evenings due to light nights and quite a few use Facebook.

That's true I guess, just never noticed before in the summer. Maybe it's just me getting old, staying in of an evening .

I'll have to renounce my status as 'longest lurker' and post a bit more, get things moving a bit.

I know what you mean, posts do have a tendency to get picked apart. Posted an interesting issue on working into an outline and have had to qualify what I meant twice as posters had picked up on throwaway comments I made. Not in a nasty way but if you were posting on a potentially contentious issue I can see why people would be put off.
