We've got a pair of kittens coming in two weeks and I was just looking at different cat foods and now i'm lost (give me dog or horse nutrition any day!).... I've been looking at the more natural high meat ones, (burns, james wellbeloved etc) but I found a range from pets at home called Purely, anyone know if it's any good, it's very similar to the other high end foods but much better priced...

Purely kitten food

It has a meat content of 65% (compared to 4% go cat, 4% Whiskas and 26% iams and 26% JWB) which I am presuming is really good? It could just be that I am a sucker for clever marketing (can resist a cardboard coloured cardboard box!!). Any advice?

ermmm I would personally go for the "safer" options to start with

My cats are on Hills science plan. The feline diets are actually better than the canine diets by them! Ok its not cheap but results in happy healthy cats (and we feed the light hard food, which also helps keep teeth clean, otherwise the kitty toothbrush must appear on a much more regular basis!)

I have seen purely in PetsAH, but not sure I would personally go for it for my cats, but each to their own I think....
Cats are obligate carnivores, so I guess the meat content is important!

I think its a your judgement call as also some cats don't like certain foods! (picky buggers hehe)
