Hi Guys - I know this is not exactly 'breeding' but I did breed the subject of the question! I'm hoping to take my 2 year old to bramham for the event horse youngstock class - Can anyone tell me what the 'continental triangle format' is please or perhaps direct me to a helpful book/producer!!! Many thanks

There will be 3 markers set out at the points of the traingle, should be 20m along each side. You have to walk around the triangle and then trot around it. The idea being the judge can stand at the top point of the triangle and see the horse move away, side on, and straight towards, without having to move.

Many thanks - thats really helpful (and sounds much less intimidating!) To be honest I'm hoping to locate a producer for her - shes fantastic and we're really proud of her but she has a exuberance issue which I might struggle to contain!!

As volatis has said, instead of walking/ trotting back and forth in hand in a straight line you walk/trot round a triangle so that the judges can assess from all sides.
