Is anybody else rightly sick of mucking out, feeding, dragging water from house to stables via wheelie bin, etc.... I love my horses, but just wish this weather would just bugger off so I can enjoy them again without all this hassle. I'm a cold creature at the best of times, so this weather just really doesn't suit me. What used to take me 20 mins in the morning, is taking over an hour, filling the wheelie bin and pulling it down to the stables, hoping I wont slip on the ice and land on my bum!!!! Horses are well peeved too, ground is so frozen, I cant let them out!!!
Aghhhh!!! Rant over now, sorry!!!!!

Yip, and if we really wanted this kind of weather, then we'd move to a colder climate. If only I could afford to move myself, my children, horses, dogs and cat to a sunny climate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish.......
 
I love the snow and frosty mornings! as long as im rugged up accordingly? 2 pairs of boot socks,thick trousers and a few layers under the coat!:D

Dont mind the carrying and lifting it means i get to eat more food to keep warm!:eek::rolleyes:

But I do mind moving the ponies to a field with their wellbeing at heart and they repay me by bolting down the road and trying to give me heartattack when the little pony decided to jump a ditch I wouldnt jump on a well behaved ditch jumping 16.2hh!!:eek:

but I agree with NP- I hate mud! so Im going to be grumpy once it all melts :(
 
I am not loving this weather either. I usually enjoy the cold but dry weather but this is something else.
The ice is a nightmare and nothing is thawing out at all, plus my mare finds the frozen rutted ground tough going :(
My hands are falling apart because of the ice breaking and removing from buckets.
The roads/tracks are generally too dangerous to ride on...as you can tell I am not so happy just now either, plus I feel like cack today
 
It's lovely here :D 18 degrees and sunny this afternoon - although it did persist down with rain all night. One of the joys living in virtual desert is no mud as the water disappears pretty quickly!
