Vet been to see him and thinks he has damage to check ligament and/or DDFT. :( On the plus side he thinks it's looking really good considering it only happened on Saturday and thinks it's probably only mild, but can't be sure until scan that I've got to book in 7-10 days.

I'm so gutted!!!! For all I know he could have been galloping round and jumping for hours on Saturday with a broken tendon and I didn't even know!! Thinking it must be something I've done wrong when he's done 5 seasons under mums management and been fine. :( :(

He doesn't seem to be in any pain.. hoping it keeps raining so some of his friends have to stay in too!

Oh dear. Poor Badger :( I had ligament damage and I'm right as rain now so hopefully he will be too. I'm sure it isn't your fault so don't fret over that. Hopefully the scan won't turn up anything too serious.

I know how you feel - my horse did a tendon last saturday and is having a scan this friday - so fingers crossed

hugs to you and your horse

Hope your horse is ok hotdog!!

He's done 3 days in 2 weeks which is quite a lot for him really so maybe it was just a bit much for him. He'd never act tired though and puts his all into everything so guess I can see why it's happened. Stupid Starbucks!!!

Dont blame yourself!!! My horse had a swollen hind no lameness thought he had banged himself. Anyway swelling didnt go down so two weeks later scanned it and he had a large hole in hind suspensory = 1 year off work felt sooo guilty that I had ridden him for that two weeks. Flying changes, half pass etc. no lameness??? Hindsight is wonderful :)

I think I've been ok since I noticed the injury but thinking back we jumped 3 large hedges down hill and he jumped huge over the first two and really came down quite steep. After that run I had a funny feeling that something wasn't quite right but he seemed sound and fine, so I thought nothing else of it. reading about check ligament damage sounds like it's more of a jumping injury than a galloping one so I'm sure that must be it. Bad thing is that was right at the beginning of the day!! :(
