Not impressed at my insurance renewal

To find one of my horses who had 2 osteopath visits 3 years ago (she does work after all) had an exclusion of 'soft tiisue soreness' on renewal! I mean, seriously? Any soreness on any part of her body? Even though there was no original injury? No underlying cause? No ongoing problem? You'd have thought I'd put in a claim for a huge course of treatment, as it was I didn't claim as it didn't reach excess. Stupid me for being honest & telling them. I know there are unique disclosure rules regarding insurance, but behaviour like this really does not encourage honesty.

I've just had to get quite forceful with them to get them to call the underwriters & take it off (which after 15 mins they agreed to do & it has been removed). They had said they wanted a vets letter before they'd do it. Really? My vet would not be impressed at having to spend time looking up records for a very minor hiccup 3 years ago for which he suggested a couple of sessions of physio, writing a letter & sending it to me. Even though he is very reasonable, I would expect him to charge to do this as it would have taken time. She's been working in the three years inbetween without incident, surely that's a very good indicator that it isn't an ongoing issue or problem? Why is it so hard for common sense to prevail?

Would be nice to see discounts for having routine jabs done (wont ever claim for tetanus treatment) & teeth (good mastication must help reduce chances of colic).
