Unsurprisingly Rose is not in foal. However, she is coming back into season and has no fluid. Great news so hopefully she will take this time. I'm much happier. Good luck to anyone going through the same
fingers crossed. my mare has done the same, covered natrual, scanned at 17 days no foal and no reason! i'm just waitin for another 17 day scan on 12th! hope she's caught this time!
Looks like we're all in the same boat!
Really sorry to hear that. Fingers crossed it's third time lucky. Rose certainly seems to be getting lots of practice! LOL
I'm sorry to hear your news!
It seems to have been an awful year, our vet doesn't remember one worse for getting mares in foal easily; even usually 'sure one time gals' are taking at least a couple of goes to get themselves pregnant; it also doesn't seem to make much difference whether it's by natural or AI either.
My lot have kept us hanging about too although now they seem to be settled - Bea had a 38 day scan on Monday and is ok (her 2nd go!)
Twiggy missed first time but has since had a 28 day scan and is home;
Saucy put up twins first time but was scanned same time as Twig and is ok but the night before we were to fetch them back, she managed to gouge a great cup size piece out of her off hind, she's fine and sound but it's a mess so she stayed there as they're nowhere near as muddy as we are!
Swallow put up twins first time, tried to pinch but missed so had to abort; she is now waiting for a 14 day scan next week.
Some mares of Mel's (both her own and visitors) have either gone straight in foal or have missed completely.
We're all putting it down to the weather, it's been awful, cold, wet and windy, not pregnancy inducing at all!
I know the feeling... Have another horse to ride (luckily) but my heart doesn't seem to be in it. At least my mare Carerra is loving being out at grass with her stallion and new family. Scan again in 2 weeks - here we go again!!
