Not Owner on Passport

Yes, you should have done this when you bought him. When I bought my mare her passport had, not the girl I bought her off, but the owner before that on. Was still no problem to put it into my name as I had proof of both sales.

Very important you do it now as you are loaning him out! The person you are loaning him to could try to sell him and you wouldn't be down as owner!

Okidokie, noted, I was 13 when I got him and my parents bought him for me, neither my parents or I realised that we needed to do this. Also, could someone help me understand his "family tree" ? It shows his name, then g.sire, g.g.sire and g.g.dam underneath and to the side then after that it has sire with the same underneath (g.sire/g.gsire/g.gdam) and then dam with the same underneath. I am so confused!

"The animal’s rider or keeper must have the passport with them at all times when they’re with the animal, unless it’s in a stable, grazing in a field, or being moved by foot. Owners can take their animals for short rides without one." Which is what they would be doing with him.
