Very exciting times at Hippo Towers - the OH has put in for a transfer to a rural town which would put an acreage and (thus the horse at home with us) within our reach. Of course I have gone and done what Kirsty and Phil say never to do which is to fall in love with a property before our move is finalized...it's 10 acres, with a 4 horse barn and corrals oh and a lovely log-cabin type house, all well within our price range. The sellers want a quick sale so have just dropped the price by $20,000 and I am biting my nails to the quick with the stress/excitement of not knowing when we can move and if the property will be available when we can! Aaaarrrgh....this is what I get for googling before I should, I guess.
The deck off the back of the house overlooks the corrals and stable block - how perfect is that? With river views too..
Vibes that we get it would be much, much appreciated! :)

Best of luck, sounds perfect and hope you get it. From one who had been recently disappointed in the relocation/property stakes, it is pretty gutting when the hopes are dashed.

That is the worst part! OH is with the RCMP (the Mounties) which is a behemoth of an organization an can be very, very slow. Things do seem to be moving along though so it could be any day...or in six months. I really shouldn't have been house shopping :o!

*sigh* Oh, I want that place too! But don't worry, in my case it is definitely just a dream to be able to get something like that. How annoying it must be, to have such a vague time frame regarding when you will know about if you can try to buy the house or not.
