Not sure if I have done the right thing?

I'm worried about Monty getting fed up with doing flatwork all the time. He's 7 now and could probably do with introducing some jumping. The thing is I don't jump, I have done on my old boy but fell on my head

So I have replied to an ad I found locally from someone looking to help either bring on or help with a difficult horse.
Monty isn't difficult, just cheeky and big! Am panicking now as not sure I have done the right thing

I had planned for him to go to my instructors again for a couple of weeks in September to start jumping but then there is no-one to carry it on with him

I think Ashgrove is right Sharon. Don't worry. If she comes and has a go and is completely unsuitable, that's fine. If she's great than you're onto a winner.

You hack and do other things with him as well so that'll be keeping him interested.

Perhaps you could ask your instructor for some pole work exercises which will give him something to think about but means you still stay on the ground

i jump someones horse once a week and compete it everyother week as she is the same and didnt like jumping - her horse loves it though.

You will know if she is right - and im sure Monty will let you know if he objects!

Agree with the others too, he may love jumping and she might just be the right person, you never no you may be tempted to have a go to.....
