I have 2 old chaps who are pottering about on my parents farm at the moment, one is my 19yr old RC showjumper, been to several national RC championships and loves jumping. However, due to work commitments and lack of time hes been out of work for a while now and I will bw moving away from this area in september to go to uni and cant afford to take all my geegees with me. He is out in the field with his mate benji an ex polo pony whos never completely sound and has been out of work for years. Not sure what would be the best option for these guys, loan to stay at home, loan or sale or just leave them in the field?
I did attempt to share Jerry but the person decided they wanted to take him and leave the other, and the next person wasnt a good enough rider and fell off on the first ride - not Jerrys fault I hasten to add!

I dont know what to dooo :(

If they did you a good service leave them.........am sure they wont mind pottering as long as they get the basics done etc or let someone livery for free and do a deal that they keep an eye on your two in exchange!?!

Ask parents nicely to keep an eye on them and leave them pottering in the field

You'll have the summer and breaks to come back and ride if you want. Then you could take up a nice sport like tentpegging which is ideal for the older horse :D
