As some of you may be aware my boy is on boxrest re annular ligament strain.

Today friend (very competant) visited and found boy had a strong pulse in fetlock area, not bounding, just strong. Hind legs only with ligament problem.

She has suggested more time out on yard. He is 21 yrs old and fairly chilled. Puts down to restricted time in box.

I shall feel for pulses over weekend and decide to call vet or not on Monday. Boy is sound or at worst slightly unlevel, which with his annular ligament is expected.

I must admit I do not know what is normal with pulses for my boy (naughty mummy), however I do think hind stronger than fore is not good. He is on deep litter so his feet are supported.

I do religiously weigh his hay/feed and although he could never be accused as underwieght for his type is not gross. He has been cleared of cushings this spring. All hay is soaked, some overnight and the rest 10+ hours.

Any ideas, observations or critiscisms welcome.
