I feel like i have made a great start at my new yard .... NOT . Today decieded to ride the nag for the first time at the new yard, and popping a few xc fences and 'nag of the year' popped a extra stride in and it went wrong. so kart wheeling through the air i landed in a heap in the floor break two ribs and my nose

HI
Well done you!! I know how you feel as 9 weeks into new horse arriving, at new yard she went lame.... 4 weeks after this YO lent me her horse to do cross country and I fell off after a drop and broke the top of my arm in about 3 pieces, so its exactly 12 weeks to the day I broke my arm, my horse is now sound, so I'm hoping to ride her today for the first day in almost 4 months..... this summer has not been the best. How are you managing or will you manage, do you have someone to help you look after the nag? My poor husband (who is not horsey) had to take 2 weeks off work to look after me and had to poo pick my field for me for 10 weeks!!!
Good luck, and I hope they gave you some good painkillers....

Poor you! Not a great start!
Here is my story of woe, I hope it cheers you up:

I am now officially horseless (and will be for a long time), I decided that I would go shopping to cheer myself up... great!
It was about 1/2 an hour ago I realised my purse (with everything in) is locked in my BF's car, which would be fine apart from the fact he is in Wales and will be for a week! Even more annoying, he went in another car so I can get within about 30cm of it and I KNOW his car keys will be locked in his house (which nobody apart from the people in Wales has a spare to...)

Imagine my face pressed firstly against the car's window, and then against the front door

I hope that cheered you up (but didn't make you laugh, that would hurt)

Choccies and films all round I feel!

Ouch!

Hugs hun. Having bought a new horse, then her going lame ten days later - cue months of box rest and investigatigations. Then she's sound, then we slip on the road and I crack and arm so no riding for six weeks, then she goes lame a month later, cue another trip away to the vets, then she's back and a month later I come off and land on my head so no riding for nearly three months....

And breathe

Here's hoping you heal quickly and well.
