i dont clip buster any later than jan as he never losses the clip line otherwise but he is a bit of an oddball and i have clipped the others up 2 end of feb/ early march!
I hope not! I started clipping Dolly yesterday but started too late and then it was dark and now she has most of her body done, apart from her head, belly, most of her legs.....
No, I clipped my mare last week. I've always understood that as long as the horse hasn't started to moult, then you won't damage the summer coat. It depends what you want to do with the horse really e.g showing. I clip my daughter's pony all year as he gets v sweaty otherwise - wasn't too popular with the pony club camp instructor but pony was comfortable which I think was more important than any "rule" on when you shpuld clip.
