nottingham - bassingfield area v gotham area

Hey all
I'm considering moving my piglet coblet with the aim of getting better turn out (probably with the loss of outdoor school but hey ho), my options are bassingfield area and gotham (bassingfields nearer - 4 miles instead of 9) so Im wondering which area has better hacking/horsey facilities?
Hoping someone will have an opinion....my horsey contacts are few and far between and not in my neck of the woods unfortunatley.

I'd guess at gotham if i'm honest. Big network of bridlepaths around, some nice yards, outdoor schools etc. Depends what you're looking for.

I lived in South Notts for 5 years up to 2003 and can honestly say Gotham had some fab off road routes, much better than the odd stoney track we have here in Holmfirth. Have really happy memories of hacking out my youngster around the locality.

I used to work at Bassingfield riding school, they used to do livery etc as well. But it is 10 years or so since I left so any info I can give you will be rather out of date by now!

gotham has lovely surrounding areas!!!
less sure about bassingfield though sorry
