Hello. Wondering if anybody could help suggest any shows that might be suitable please (also posted in the Comptetitions Forum and it's been suggested that Equestrian Centre Competitions might be the best option...)

I'm looking to do some novice show jumping with my pony (138cm) this summer - I'm an adult who's never competed before.

Ideally central belt/borders/Argyll. I've started Googling and trawling through show schedules but am getting a bit disheartened. A lot of the novice pony jumping classes seem to be for people under 16 years (which, unfortunately is DEFINTITELY not me!!).

So any suggestions much appreciate! Equestrian Centres/Shows etc...

Thank you!

Have you tried local riding clubs? Our local club regularly has classes which start at lower levels? RCs don't care about the height of your pony/horses so no problems with ponies = kids :)

It's a shame your not up Fife/Dundee way, both the local big centres in this area do exactly what your looking for.

Hi! Unfortunately I struggled with this last year when my daughter wanted to try some competitions on our wee shetland. There's no riding clubs near us, so we're rather resigned this year to travelling a bit. It's a shame Dundee way is a little too far. Will hope somebody can suggest something a bit more central/westerly! Thank you.

Thank you! It's been suggested Ingliston & Muirfield might be good so will probably aim to give one of those a go later in the year. Thanks!
