Novice eventer thread

Hi all,

Couple of questions because I am quite new to eventing so I'm struggling to understand how it works. I am waiting to enter a competition at the end of September and it says on the BE website that entries open today but they still haven't opened up. Is there a certain time some events open their entries?

Also, I'm scrolling through the fixtures list and there are 4 or 5 events that i would like to enter of which the entries are open but it is not giving me the option to enter online. Do most events now require you to enter with the entries secretary or is there something wrong with my account?

NOTE: I clicked on nearly every open event and none of them (Except 3) let me enter online.. Hoping someone can help :) Sorry for the novice questions! Just getting used to the way affiliated competitions run..
 
If you are looking on the BE website look at the BDWP instead, most events are entered via that. Exceptions like Weston Park, not sure of others.

On there you just click on the event, if it's open there will be a button on the home page to enter. Fill in the form, click validate and then close and save, then pay. Voila :)

Thank-you :) Is there a certain time that entries open? I'm waiting on Kelsall to open and they do open up today but so far nothing :(
