Novice Hunter - double bridle?

If a horse was emntered at County Level in a Novice Ridden Hunter Class....does it go in a double bridle?

I think it says can be ridden in a snaffle - depends on how they are going, Buck is not ready for a double he evades and sticks his tongue over the bits but is going really well in a Rugby pelham so will be showing him in that.

I don't no about ridden hunter but i know county level/PUK/BSPS etc for Novice Ridden m&m's HAVE to be ridden in a snaffle. Sorry not much help, but i've always thought novices had to be snaffles, but i've never competed in ridden hunter classes.

The vast majority will be in a double bridle, even in a novice class, at county level. However snaffles are permitted too.
