Hi guys
Please dont get the wrong impression that i am one of these hellish types who cannot take losing ive worked from the bottom up with showing and have tired to learn & take something from each show to better myself and my horse for the next..however, we took part in our local novice show yesterday. There are normally two very much experienced judges judging however on this occasion - and one occasion earlier in the season - a young lady has done the judging. I do happen to know this lady on our local circuit and she is herself too a novice & is relatively inexperienced. So although we did well yesterday with a modest 3rd i still feel nothing constructive came out of the class and it left me feeling a little disheartened that after all the hard work we've put in so far this season hadnt be judged correctly. I dont unfortunately own any method of transport so competing else where is not an option. Is there any guidelines that riding clubs should follow with regards to judging?

Any opinions to lighten my mood would be very much appreciated at the mo!

Sorry but I haven't got anything to say to lighten your mood, when it comes down to it everyone (no matter how novice) has to start somewhere. It is unfortunate that you feel the class gave you nothing to work on, I know what you mean about wanting to improve every time!

Also isn't it better she starts at a novice local show than at a county show, qualifiers or affiliated show.

Sorry I doubt anything I just said has helped
