I caught him!!! :D :D

Those who don't know Andy has been an arse to catch lately and last night got him around 3ish no problem had a noced little ride which was fab.

Then today I got him about 20 mins ago and its nice weather and he just came in without an issue! :D

I think my pep talk worked with him, I said if he didn't start behaving he would be in a lot of trouble and the boogey monster would come and get him. I think it worked :)

well done! i love it when that happens! i have an awful one, she is on loan and since im the only one riding her she associates me with work, this means she lets everyone else catch her but me! it can be so demoralising! but well done again! :D

You have probably done this already, try catching him and just letting him go again, or doing something he really likes, say a good scratch or groom if he likes that.

It sometimes breaks the link between getting caught and having to work or go in the stable every time.

Thank goodness! Well done.

This is definitely what persuaded him ;).
When my horse was young he decided he wanted to grow up to be a rodeo horse, and would practise every time I got on. Whenever my sister came down with me, she'd 'have a quick chat' with him before I got on which worked every time - pony became an angel for the next hour. :D

Thank you everyone!

Yeah done that as often as I can, I think it really seemed to have helped :)

PS: is he the Appaloosa in your signature? He's gorgeous.

No the appaloosa passed away in October and I can't bare to take him out my signature as he was my once in a lifetime horse.
Andy, the one who won't be caught, is a sort of a rescue case and is the sweetest little guy :)
