She is only 3 and since I have had her I have always wondered if she is going to take after her sire and grand sire and be able to jump.
Well today I found out.
Was happily long reining her (or trying to) in the school when one of her pals came back from a hack. She decided to go and say hi and proceeded (with me trying to hang on for dear life) to jump out of the school, she sailed over the 5 bar gate and missed touching it by at least 2ft!!!!
Was very very cross and took her back into school and worked her hard on the long lines.
Now she knows she can do it is this going to become a regular thing?

Is the at your selle francais? She is lovely...with those ears you just know she will be a jumper, they are for lining up at the fences!
Still, naughty girl

My jumping pony use to come cantering down the field and pop over the gate and go straight into his stable if he saw me coming. Another time I caught him out of the field grazing in the lane. I told him off and went to get him. He trotted off and jumped back into his field. He was a fab jumper and would jump anything, he was only 12.2hh and it was nearly 30yrs ago!!

Yes it was the cheeky mare. Can't help but laugh now though. It was quite scarey though she could have really injured herslf.
Ah yes and those ears, when will she grow into them. I swear they are growing quicker than she is

Thanks for that, I have these visions now of her just popping out of her field and going for a gallop across the south downs or even worse along the A27!!!
