I had some faff with Hectors passport, eventually I called the BEF who said yes they can change it and I sent it off
However its come back today saying its not an FEI passport, and its not one they do so it has to go back to Germany, or if I am affiliated with any discipline I should contact that society (what?!?!)
However it states in the back of the passport, if the horse has gone out of the country (germany) the passport is to be changed by the national equestrian federation of the nationality of the new owner.
Now please do correct me if Im worng but I thought that was the BEF. It also mentions FEI should be notified, I contacted them and they said .....send to BEF.
So what now, no wonder no ones changed this passport yet, am I being thick and missing a trick?
I will call the BEF on monday but the last person I spoke to wasnt particularly polite or forthcoming with info.
Just not sure where to go next with this.
