String really messes my jacket up. It was voted nicest jacket at BSJA show recently.
So...what colour shirt / tie should I wear for stressage?
[/ QUOTE ]
This isn't BSJA, this is stressage - therefore comfort comes a long way behind elegance. A darker fitted jacket (it can still be tweedy if you must) will do nicely, and some of those nice long leather dressage boots with the tops so high you are no longer physically able to bend you leg at the knee will give you just the right look
Yes it would, but unless you're gay perhaps it would send the wrong signals!
Jacket looks fine in the SJ pic, but perhaps move the buttons a tad?
Proper male dressage divas have numerous jackets, a mate of mine kept his in the spare room I stayed in, and I swear he had at least ten black ones plus a couple of specials too!
What is it about gay males and their clothes?
This chap had hundreds of beautiful shirts, ties by the hundred etc, and all crisply ironed and hung pefectly straight in his wardrobes. (no I didn't look, he came in to get one and I saw them then!)
I don't think anyone looks particularly smart with that twine round their middle, but lovely horse...

Can you bring the test too so we can go through it?
Where is the bling, where are the patent leather boots, the ever so polished dressage topper, the diamonte incrusted schooling whip, the gaggle of brusher, carriers, polishers, nodders, bandage removers and dribble wipers.
Do we dressage riders not teach you anything!!!!!!!!!!!
Its all a bit fussy the stressage malarky init.
Ok will dig out old black jacket or perhaps i should visit tailor and have one made to measure darlings
Dressage for eventing......just (and I mean JUST) about acceptable......but 'proper' diva dressage.........
Why
P.S I think you'd look lovely with a huge pair of Coco Chanel shades.....you know the ones....with the little diamante pattern on the bridge and CC on the side

Youre just jealous lol
Do you want the bling spurs
I peronally prefer Diamonds, pearls are a little last year when it comes to earings , oh and if you get another horse then th colour of the kit should match the horse.
EG, my black boys [ not racist comment merely colourist] wear cream as its less stark and so do i, my greys, chestnuts and bays all wear white and then so do i. The only horse to earn the right to Bling was my Stallion and that was only because he had no white on his head and was so black you could not see his face!!! I would however LOVE the Agent Provocateur diamond encrusted whip..... not sure they meant it for equestrian use though!!!!!!!
Mind boggles.
i do think you need to ditch the white / light breeches and go for more taup colour as men look better in them especially if you go and get a black jacket [ double vented] as for the tweed more of a keepers tweed [greens/browns, with alittle colour ie faint red ,blue check] would look more traditional and in keeping with the eventing crowd.... i am under no allusions that you are becoming a dressage divid.... get it??? divid? david???? oh never mind...!!!
Ah but you see Partoow that I have to make a choice.
I can either spend all my money getting you to drag my sorry ass up in the dressage world or I can get all the gear and have no idea.
I'm guessing you may prefer the former?
Perhaps I need to find a second owner that will pay for my training as well
