I've read on here that they come up a smallish.

I am looking to find one to buy but am not sure whether to find a 5 3/4" or 6" one.

A normal 5.5" french link snaffle is a tad too small and a 5 3/4" is a better fit. So which size NS Tranz Angled Lozenge Universal should I get, do you think? Would the 5 3/4" be too small? Or might the 6" be too big????:confused::confused:

I don't know about this particular NS bit, but I certainly went up 1/4" when I bought the Team Up and I'm expecting delivery today of the tranz bevel and based on my exprience with the team up, I've ordered it at the slightly bigger to normal size. I get mine from http://www.horsebitbank.com/ on a 30 day trial - excellent service and very helpful.

So you recon I should look for a 6", then?

I've got a 6" Waterford Universal but not sure how that will measure up against the lozenge mouth piece for comparison if I try it before buying the new one.

Ludi-doodi: I looked on horsebitbank website yesterday but they only offer the bit I'm after in the 5.5" option. That'll definitely be too small. The Saddlery Shop don't have the bit either. :(
