So I was browsing the NS site - thinking of getting a different thickness NS Teamup, which he's going well in, so won't be changing.. and came across the Verbinded. I wondered if it actually does help the horse be less heavy in the hands? Just curious! I personally didn't think that the slightly different shape of the mouth piece could really make a difference, as whenever I've heard of a horse having a problem with leaning I've seen a Waterford being used.. Anyone ever tried the Verbinded and found it to make a difference? Just interested to see if the funny shaped mouth piece does actually make a difference :p xx

Its actually not so much for leaning, but its really for horses with large tongues or small mouths and its useful for horses like TB or WB.
We have this and the Tanz angle and we found, that for us, the TA has a highering notion, and the VB had a lowering notion, we tried this on several horses and they all went better in the TA.

I thought the shape looked good for fleshy tongues! Very interesting about comparing the two mouth pieces though.. Love learning about bitting and all the different ones on the market :o xx

We trialled the trans and he hated it, we trialled the Verbindend and we have kept it ........... he has a thick tongue and low palate and the curve made all the difference for him.

I use a team up & a waterford every now & then when my horse gets strong & leany. I tried the verbindend & tranz angled lozenge & he hated both & was worse! Have gone back to team up/ Waterford when needed.
