I still have only partial sensation in my left leg after my fall last week. I can walk fine but I've got a tingling sensation from my mid thigh up through my hip and into my lower back. Feels like I've been sat cross legged on the floor for too long and I've got mild pins and needles.

Has anyone else experienced this? Not sure if I should go back to the doctors or if its quite normal and likely to work itself out in time.

Go back to the doctors - especially if you havent already been checked. Pins and needles can be a sign of nerve damage. No need to be too alarmed, but definitely go get yourself checked or a second opinion.

Thanks, I did go to hospital at the time but they just x-rayed, told me I hadn't broken my hip and sent me home with strong painkillers. All last week i just assumed the pins and needles were a side effect of the pain killers but I haven't taken any since Friday and it still feels really odd.

Sounds to me like you've irritated a nerve - I did this in my elbow all the way down to my hand a while back, my parents who are doctors diagnosed it pretty quickly and I just had to rest it and make sure I didn't lean on it or anything - unfortunately this also meant no riding for 2-3 weeks. Or you could even have slipped a disc or something in your back. To be on the safe side I'd deffo go back to the doctors just to be sure, you might need an x-ray or another kind of scan. Hope this helps :) xx

Thanks for sharing your experience, I really hope that isn't it. I don't much fancy not being able to sit down for two weeks! Will try and get into the doctors tomorrow to see what they think.

So I have had the numb leg, dragged when foot turned in my stirrup on a hack and tbh I don't actually remember full sensation returning ( about 3 months)..........this time its my lower back, don't want to scare u but 18months on and its still the same!!

Consultant advises due to nerve damage it may feel numb forever.......oh well bonus is that it won't hurt if I have a fall again!!

fingers, toes, paws and hooves crossed I don't have another fall.............

dwi...........what are the chances of a 'hack'ett' on saturday..?how are the other bruises..?
