Keep your eyes and ears open.

Sorry for the worry I have just got off the phone with the Thames Valley police and no reports have been made.It looks like another hoax doing the rounds.

I had already been down to the bottom field to get them back in.They thought I must be barking bringing them back to the field at the bottom of my garden at this hour, not to mention the OH he's not to impressed either!!

Thing is, if they've stolen from one area one night it's unlikely they'd come back the next night(unless they were stupid) IMO....

I wish people would confirm info before posting

We're in Mortimer and that had me really worried! (Thanks for update though!)

Carys - yep, I agree, they wouldn't do 2 nights running.

Thanks for info re. Toyota, will keep my eyes out as I pass through Beech Hill early morning and late evening.

just to clarify this particular one, this vehicle was seen there, and the occupant was asking whther he could do work for rides - but no property or horses were stolen

Thanks mother_hen. We had someone in a white van asking about horses for loan the other day. Could be linked, so reassuring to know nothing was stolen.

lol, agreed there are hundreds of white vans around - and about half of them look dodgy! In fact, my OH used to drive one and he's definitely dodgy

Doesn't mean we should be any less vigilant though.

Thanks for the info, was just beginning to panic after local feed store helpfully put up a sign warning horse owners to be vigilant as multiple horses had been stolen from Mortimer etc. Much appreciated, might sleep tonight now!
