We always have to replace one or two of our floodlights going into winter. Our electrician who used to do this has now retired and his number no longer exists. He used to charge us around £100 for replacing a bulb. We now have 3 needing replaceing so thought we'd do it ourselves. Trouble is, I don't know what type they are. They are a bright white light but they take around 5 minutes to warm up. Any ideas what type of lamp they could be. I believe sodium gives out an orange light so not that. There are halogen tungsten, but don't they light up immediately? I'm so confused. They look the same as the halogen ones that are only £8 or so on ebay, but don't want to buy the wrong thing. They are mounted on tall poles. Thanks
