Numpty question!

Can someone please explain what the heel line is?

I'm a relative newcomer to hunting, but have got the hang of most of the terminology. However, this one has passed me by!

following the heel line is when the hounds go the "wrong way" along the trail - i.e. the opposite way to the way the trail was laid.

no such thing as a numpty question, don't worry!
