Numpty questions about ice and studs

Could you (would you) be able to ride on the icy road with road studs in your horse's shoes - or perhaps another small type of stud?

I don't know if this is feasible or not and my horses don't have stud holes in their shoes at the moment anyway, but just wondered ......

i don't know if you could but i personally would not risk riding on icy roads, even with studs in..

I think no studs are made to dig into the ground or tarmac, studs would just skid the same but with less touching the ground its not like ice skates that have a long blade it is a tiny head and would not even consider it. Even if you had ones with tiny spikes it would not be enough and not enough give in the road for them to sink into

im not sure about the studs, maybe they may help

but it wudnt stop the snow and that balling in there feet?
