well my girl has epsm we have now been on the diet for a couple of months she is doing well but just lacking energy still and needs muscle.

its kind of a catch 22 situation im trying to build her up very slowly from having a year off of work as she has had multiple things going on hind suspensory op being one and all the diagnostics.

we are up to 40min schooling sessions moslty walk and trot has long warm up and down has gottern shorter since diet change.but she is just lacking that extra sparkle and there is such a fine line to building her up and over doing it and making her muscle's sore .so am thinking about getting staying power as it help lower the muscle recovery rate and helps build her muscle quicker from her processing the fat better.as soon as she has muscle on her m sure she will be so much better in herself.

ao any experience with it would be great thanks

I havent but would be very interested to hear what other people that have used it think. I have a big 17.2 and he is very good, not too strong, but normally after about 20-30minutes of schooling he does start to "die" on my, even when he is very fit, so this sort of thing would really help, although my concern is that I dont want him getting "hot" on me as he is so big and I am only little!

What are you currently feeding her? I think before adding supplements, the actual diet should be assessed. Look at feeding a diet based on fibre and oil and keeipng sugar levels to a minimumm, whereas cereals provide sparkle, they should be avoided with EPSM cases due to the sugar content, but a fibre and oil based diet provides slow releasing, sustainable energy and stamina without the need for expensive supplements. I found Spillers Slow Release Energy Cubes brilliant although my girl is now on winergy and has never been better - well she's injured now but was going amazingly on it - there are plenty of fibre and oilf eeds out there. i'd ring a few feed lines and see what they all have to offer.
