Nutritional Value of hay?

Does anyone know the nutritional value of hay?

Crude protein. lysine, vitamin A,D and E levels, minerals etc?

I've been trawling the internet and books for hours and I can't find ANYTHING.

I think it depends on the individual bales/field it is baled from, but happy to be corrected.

If you want to know the values of the hay you have in store, there are companies that do detailed analysis' on samples.

Yes you have to be careful as these are US feeds which would be "better", from memory, UK averages are nearer Timothy Full Bloom
