Has anyone on here done their NVQ 3?

I'm debating doing mine, I've got the text book for the mandatory topics and it looks brilliant, much more indepth than the NVQ2 (in education terms it's equivalent to an A-Level, NVQ2 was a A*-C GCSE Level).

Anyway, if you've done it, how long did it take you? If you've also done the NVQ2 how long did that take you?

What are the optional units? Which did you do and why?

Answers on a postcard please folks! :D

Done it, waste of time really as I had done my stages to 2 and PTT before I started, so just used it as training towards Stage 3 because it was done through work. A lot of paperwork and hassle really for me personally. I much prefer to go to an exam on a day and pass or fail, can't be doing with dragging it out. Oh yeh, and I did care of competition horses as I work on a comp yard.

If your already working with horses and get nervous in exams then go for it (the assessments were less stressful then an exam for me). I did mine and actually enjoyed the experience. Time depends on you and how much time you have where you work really.

: o )
