Oakham or NewMarket for MRI - who would you chose ?

Hi, we may need MRI on one hoof and have the choice of Oakham or New Market - any experiences of either, thanks

I have used New Market but not for an MRI. Cannot praise them enough and would recommend them 100%

ive had 2 go to newmarket,one for bone scan, one for bone scan and mri. very pleased with them, kept me informed, listened to my concerns and gave me realistic advice on diagnoses. the one which was mri'd was not insured and they were great at keeping the cost a minimal as they could. wouldnt hesitate to send one of mine back there.

I used Oakham for an emergancy joint flush and subsequent weeks stay! - lovely people, facilities and vets. I'd happily use again for anything.

Which equine hospital in Newmarket is it? There are three-The Animal Health Trust, Newmarket Equine Hospital and Rossdales. I used to work at The Animal Health Trust and Newmarket Equine Hospital (used to be Greenwood, Ellis and Partners). They are both brilliant and my horse is currently being looked after at NEH as an outpatient. They are so friendly and helpful and the facilities are first class. It probably helps that Ted has been there once a month since February including a 10 day stay as an inpatient so he's practically part of the furniture! Both hospitals have their own MRI scanners, but I'm not sure Rossdales do?
