it is so funny because they have made some really small sections so someone got placed on a score of 130 something!!!

i feel sorry for the people in the big sections!!

it was in the intro...i dont know if it is a tough intro but usually when there are 40 in a section they wouldnt be placed!!! i just think it is really funny!

Friend was 3rd in the intro, apparently wansn't that bad, her horse is fairly inexperienced and got round clear in the time. Can't believe how small the sections are !

oh right...that makes a bit more sense to only place to 6th or else it would be a bit silly! it is quite a good idea although it does have its draw backs imo.

I think the smaller sections worked well in terms of the prize giving, and since placings only went to 6th, no one really got placed that shouldn't. It's easy to work out where a competitor would have come in a complete section by comparing completion scores with the other half section eg. R1 with R2, and seeing where your score fits in.

The SJ claimed penalties for over 50% of combinations, and the XC for around a third accross all intro sections. The dressage judges in certain sections were extremely harsh, and marked excessively low. So IMHO, anyone who got placed did really well, and it's a shame to diminish their achievement by being bitter. (that is the way you have come accross)

Don't be ridiculous, she said nothing of the sort. Only that it is unusual for someone to be placed at Intro with a score of 130, which it is!

"Don't be ridiculous, she said nothing of the sort" - I wasn't aware I'd accused her of saying anything. I said her comments came accross as 'bitter', which in my opinion, they do.

For the record, placings went to 6th place - so the highest placed score was 64 not 130!
