Oats and lo cal balancer

Can I feed Baileys lo cal balancer and oats together?
I give 1 cup of lo cal balancer once a day and im thinking of adding oats for a bit more energy. How much should I give of the oats then?

p.s do oats make horses put on weight?

I was told by the feed helpline that this is fine. Mine gets a scoop of Safe n Sound, a mug of balancer and a handful of oats, I up the oats to a scoop when he's jumping or xc but keep a small amount in every feed so that I'm not adding something new to his diet when he needs a boost.

I use soaked oats, seaweed and magnesium oxide on mind and it does wonders for the weight, mine have never semmed lacking in energy either...
