<ul type="square"> 1. German 3 yr olds are more advanced than the average British 5 yr old.

2. You simply HAVE to have a fluffy, shaped girth cover (Amerigo, preferably

), patent Konigs, and intricate quartermarks and puffy rosette plaits. Darling, you simply can't have anything else. Everyone MUST look like Carl

.

3. Snaffle = bling browband, as big and blingy as possible. Double = rolled, no bling. Nosebands are thinner and white lining is OUT.

4. Six insane five year olds lining up for a mounted prize giving, including rugs, sashes and HUGE rosettes = CARNAGE.

5. Valegro - he IS as good as everyone says.

6. German auction riders make most of our top riders look like pony clubbers.

It was such a good day out! I wasn't able to stay long but left feeling v inspired and itching to do young horse classes next year with our new one! Was v disappointed though to see a v well known rider acting like a complete prat towards everyone, I was v shcoked! But luckily we have people like Carl Hester who show that you can be at the top and stil be a gentleman!
