YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS, GOT FIRST AT HANDY PONY, YEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA :D, it was really rather windy, and all the flags and things were flappin like crazy, but he was a star :)

Also well pleased with his lordship with the Begginers jumping, yes he did run out at 2 jumps but we went back and did them and didn't knock any down out of the 10 and I rode him a lot better than last time so slowly improveing.

First time ever at Rideability, came 7th out of 7, but not worried as good experience, need to work at figure 8 and lots of other stuff, very nice lady judge ;)

Daughter happy with her performance, every one else on the yard came back smiling so good day all round.

Getting worried about all these positive post from me :rolleyes:
 
Well done you.............I am taking my baby to his 1st show this year next weekend, these club shows are brilliant for getting started.

On another note are you doing Sandon Ride on the 18th July, if so may see you there...
 
Dont think so, I will be doing Rotary club pleasure ride from Ockbrook think it's september, hoping to take my riding pal to Foremark and Shipley just for a hack at somepoint as she hasn't been before.
 
I met up with HHO 'Absoloute Diva' a couple of weeks ago to have a hack around Foremark.........its fabulous - we talked about having a Midlands meet-up as there seems to be so many of us local to the area!!
 
Well done to miniPedantic! It was incredibly windy today so anyone managing to cope with flags etc has my complete respect. Loony WB thought the bush was going to eat her, don't even want to think what she'd have made of flags.

Def join us for the HHo pleasure ride round Foremark. Not worked out the exact plans yet but will add your name to the mental list of who to invite when we set the date. Thinking about the end of August time but not sure yet.

Will do the Ockbrook pleasure ride if i can scrounge a lift, had a great time last year. just look out for the black WB cantering sideways, you won't be able to miss us!

I could pick you up if ride is somewhere local'ish...............end of august sounds good for a meet-up

ps...........self indulgent but after 7 hrs of driving my new tow vehicle is now parked on my driveway!!
 
Well done! Took my mare in the handy pony at the RC fun day last month and came 3rd, which I thought was pretty fantastic for a very spooky creature :D I found the the trick with her is take it slow, the faster we go the more we mess up the obstacles! Onwards and upwards for you and his Lordship :D

There are some nice jumps, just didn't take you that way as ground was so hard.:mad:

Meeting up at Foremark sounds a cool idea, let me know times and dates if it comes off :), might not be able to do much cantering in a group (depends on how many) as he gets a bit exicted, depends on whether mares or geldings ;)
 
Daughter (Fairycakes) was judging Handy Pony, she thought you might be pleased with the result:D

Well done sounds like you had a good day, did see you but was running round like an idiot trying to get son and pony in the right place at the right time and didnt get chance to speak
 
Hello! I was judging, as mum's said.
Well done Polo was brill, it really was awful with the wind! Shame you didn't come later, the "shower" completely snapped in the wind, so I had to take it down
Well done though!

Aha, it's all becoming clear now who is who :D

Nah I'm pleased we did the shower thing as that was the only thing he really struggled with, so good experience ;)

Dont think daughter would come as she not confident enough yet for longish hack on her beast, plus the ride distance would probably be too much, she knows the offer is always there, but she has turned the offer of the Rotary ride down, we see, you never know :)
